Dialogue is the script lines that are used by the actors to effectively portray the story to the audience. There are three basic categories that are involved in film, dialogue, sound effects, and music. Adding sound through various means like special effects and tones, or background music help give the scenes life. The audience gets to laugh, cry, become scared, or just become immersed in the moment of the scene. Without sound in film there would be little emotion to feel what the characters are going through.
